Andie Braithwaite is currently the Summer 2023 intern at GOLD and will be entering her senior year at Fordham University in the Fall of 2023. Her senior year will be special because she will be the captain of the Fordham improv team, Stranded In Pittsburgh. With a lifelong love and passion for making people laugh, Andie is more than thrilled to further her comedic career by working with GOLD.

What were you like as a teen?
I was definitely a bit awko but used it to my advantage to get people to laugh.
Did you have an un-sexy starter job?
I was toast girl at a breakfast place where I just sat in front of a toaster in the summer heat, burning my hands by catching toast.
What’s your biggest comedy achievement to date?
Doing standup for my entire high school.
As you come up in comedy, what helps you stick with it?
My family.
Have you ever dealt with trolls?
Yes, but I dealt with it by having the mindset that they were giving me funny material. That kept me going.
On your deathbed, what transcendent advice would you croak at a young comedian?
Haters are your motivators. And I have a large amount of money for you, it’s located in….*dies*
Best comedy advice you ever got?
Read your audience.
How has being funny helped you in your life?
Responding with a funny comeback always eases the tension when I’m in trouble with my parents.
What is your go-to movie when you’ve had a bad day?
Father of the Bride is my comfort movie. Who doesn’t love Steve Martin and Martin Short?!
