Are you ready to vote?

GOLD Editors Sep 16, 2024

Get Ready to Vote NOW!

Election day is ⁦Tuesday, November 5, 2024⁩.

Check your voter registration status by visiting Vote.gov. Make sure no changes have been made without your knowledge.

  • Register to vote if needed
  • Find your polling location
  • Mark your calendar with the polling address and early voting options
  • Check voting requirements (e.g., valid forms of ID if required)

Is my vote private?

Whether or not you vote is public record, but how you vote is private (regardless of party affiliation). Nobody will know who you vote for unless you tell them.

What should I do if I experience voter interference or intimidation?

  • Call the Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683) immediately
  • Report the incident to your local election officials
  • Document what happened as safely as you can (details about the incident, including time, location, and descriptions of those involved). Report the incident to the U.S. Department of Justice voting rights hotline at 1-800-253-3931
  • If you feel physically threatened or are encountering violence, call 911

Ideas to encourage voting:

  • Direct your friends and family to this page
  • Send text messages and postcards
