25 Comedians to Watch in 2025

Comedy’s coolest kids are here. They’re loud, proud, and seriously funny. From ex-Bachelorette fan faves to drag icons, scene-stealing leading ladies, and mic-crushing stand-ups (strong sets, but stronger GRIPS), these 25 comedians are blowing TF up in 2025. In honor of Pride Month, I’ve marked the queer comedians with a 🌈 so you can spot the brilliance and support accordingly. It is, after all, very much June. If you’re not paying the hottest and funniest gays in your life this month….get on that! And then get into THIS. The future of funny is looking bright as hell. Honestly too bright. Gotta find those sunnies…
Gabby Gutierrez-Reed 🌈
Gabby Gutierrez-Reed is a comedian, writer, actor, filmmaker and lover of fake mustaches based in Denver. She co-hosts Firecracker Comedy monthlyat Union Hall in New York. Gabby has appeared on Adult Swim, Funny or Die, and in her downtime, she “embraces her bouts of existential dread.” We also love her because we also hate wet sandwiches. With her sharp tongue and infectious energy, Gabby continues to make her mark in comedy and beyond.
Missy McIntosh
Hear me out: if Phoebe Buffay had a cooler haircut, a debut album under her belt, and several viral TikToks, she’d probably be Missy McIntosh. This Brooklyn-based comedy-music darling is the definition of multi-hyphenate energy. Originally from Minnesota (okay, Midwest!), Missy took the scenic route to stardom.
Think Amy Winehouse’s soul, Phoebe Bridgers’ ache, and Kacey Musgraves’ sparkle, but filtered through your funniest friend’s brain. Her music? An emotional rollercoaster that leaves you with still-perfect makeup. Her comedy? Equal parts goofy and gut-punch real. And if you haven’t caught her podcast Not Safe 4 Ur Boyfriend, please fix that immediately. Missy’s not just one to watch—she’s the one you already missed and now you’re playing catch-up.
Late Bloomers 🌈
This GOLD Digital Team is what happens when a bunch of wildly talented, film-and-TV-savvy writers team up and decide to make something that hits you in the feels and makes you laugh. The result: Late Bloomers—a whip-smart, heart-filled web series about a support group for folks finding their groove a little later in life (because not everyone peaks at 22, and thank God for that).
With WGA awards, film degrees, and more industry cred than they’re willing to brag about, this crew blends sharp storytelling with real emotional depth. Late Bloomers isn’t just funny—it’s honest, charming, and deeply relatable, capturing what it’s like to chase your dreams on your own timeline.
The series is currently streaming on Fox Soul and Kold Open, so go watch it. It’s giving catharsis, it’s giving laughs, it’s giving “maybe I’m not behind after all.”
Kerry Coddett
Kerry Coddett is a Brooklyn-born, Caribbean-American writer, actress, and comedian who thrives in the nuance. A 2025 Rideback Rise Fellow, she’s written for Flatbush Misdemeanors and Problem Areas, and appeared on Ramy, Desus & Mero, and The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show. She was the first woman to win Caroline’s Comedy Madness and co-founded Kwanzaa Crawl, which has raised over $500K for Black-owned businesses. Smart, fearless, and funny—Kerry’s voice is one you don’t forget. And now: She’s teamed up with her sister, veteran producer/manager Krystal Payne, to found Grandma’s Haus Production, a full-service production company where—as their grandma used to say—”laugh and cry live in the same house.” LOVE. We’ll be right over!
Emily Catalano
Emily Catalano is that deadpan genius who made her late-night debut on Conan and hasn’t looked back since. Her first comedy special, Unspecial, landed on the New York Times’ “Best Comedy of 2024” list and earned comparisons to legends like Steven Wright, Tig Notaro, and Todd Barry. Her delivery? Razor-sharp. Her vibe? Effortlessly cool. Emily’s the kind of comic who used to be awkward at parties—but now she headlines them (and yes, she can pronounce ‘Merlot’).
Mattie Jo Cowsert
Mattie Jo’s hometown ofBranson, Missouri is basically what would happen if a Christmas village married a Bible camp and then raised four poorly-adjusted adult rollercoasters with boundary issues. Now Mattie is a professional actor and author with a dream so specific it must come true: landing a Hallmark Christmas movie to prove, once and for all, to the folks back home that she made it. BONUS: She’s a GOLDie!
Raised in a Christian household, Mattie Jo brings small-town charm, big-hearted laughs, and Midwest work ethic to every role she touches. In her debut book, God, Sex, and Rich People, she walks readers through her “collapse of identity that begins a journey of figuring out faith, fucking, and the 1%. With humor and raw honesty, God, Sex, and Rich People follows Mattie Jo as she takes off her purity ring, navigates public transportation, and tries to have good sex without hating herself.” She’s got that girl-next-door energy with just enough edge to keep things interesting. She’s not stopping till she’s sipping cocoa on set in a fake snowy gazebo.
The Deadly Aunties
Hailing from the Anishnaabek Nation, The Deadly Aunties are flipping the script on colonial narratives with every punchline. Their blend of Rezzy humor, cultural pride, and radical love reclaims the sacred role of the Auntie—protector, teacher, healer, and hilarious truth-teller. But they’re more than just comedians—they’re educators, community builders, and changemakers. Whether they’re commanding the stage, hosting workshops, or MCing major events, their mission is clear: decolonize, empower, and uplift through laughter. Raw, real, and bursting with Auntie energy, The Deadly Aunties are breaking stereotypes, centering Indigenous joy, and leaving audiences howling—and healing—across Turtle Island and far beyond. Keep an eye out because the Aunties are coming, and they’re deadly. (Also we love their hair.)
Tatty Macleod
Tatty, the French-British comedy queen of TikTok (you know her, you love her, “that French TikTok lady”), is out here turning baguettes and passive aggression into punchlines. Based in London but spiritually sipping wine on a Parisian terrace while judging your tea-making skills, Tatty’s 548k+ followers across Instagram and TikTok are fully under her très chic, très funny spell.
Her comedy is bread-knife-sharp, delightfully exasperated, and painfully accurate. Brits get dragged (gently, politely), the French get roasted (lovingly, with beurre), and anyone who’s ever mixed up “sorry” and “excuse me” feels seen. Tatty isn’t just a standout online—she’s the whole Eiffel Tower lit up at midnight.

As a stand-up comedian, she’s been named one of New York Magazine’s “Comedians You Should and Will Know” and has toured her acclaimed one-woman show I’m Nervous. Robby’s comedy is raw, brilliant, and deeply personal—delivered with her signature confidence and bite. But, honestly, you probably recognize her from Hacks. Or that Hacks/The Pitt pickleball match.
Together, Gabby and Robby are more than just partners in life—they’re creative forces in their own right, pushing boundaries, challenging norms, and making people laugh while they do it. They’re impossible to ignore. They’re really hot and they’ve got a whole thing going.
