Digital Production Teams

GOLD Comedy’s Digital Production Teams form the core of GOLD’s one-of-a-kind program designed to grow your comedy career, skills, portfolio, and network. Each team is made up of funny women and nonbinary members of GOLD who create sketch, parody, news, musical, and satirical shorts. We’ve got teams in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Austin—and entirely virtual (movie magic!).

Award-winning producer/creator Kelly Slater now mentors our teams by  regularly joining meetings, helping out on set, and–alongside the whole GOLD team–providing notes on all work! Four-time Emmy-nominated director and producer Ana Bretón serves as the teams’ program founder and lead advisor, along with occasional inspirational visits from GOLD advisor Rachel Dratch 🤩.

Teams launched in 2022—meet our debut slate here!

  • Getting to write and direct (!) a comedy sketch within less than a month was so fun, challenging, rewarding, and definitely a highlight. Constantly collaborating with other awesome people in comedy has also been super inspiring. I love that you get to share your ideas no matter what state they are in, and give and receive real-time feedback to each other to help make those ideas the best that they can be! You can feel things getting better and better as you go along.
Mariah M., Junior Editor at Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen
  • The biggest benefit from joining GOLD has been finding fellow like minded creatives – for me it was finding a team of women/NBs who are just as busy as I am, but willing to come together and create something hilarious together.
Linda D., Executive Producer, Social Media Strategist
  • The best part of joining a digital team was meeting and learning from other talented, funny women. Since Bloomsday is the only fully remote team, I wondered how we would produce sketches while living in different parts of the country. Thankfully, our team is so creative and resourceful, and because of that, we make magic happen. We've gotten good at letting people shine at their strengths while encouraging each other to try new things. I now have cool funny friends from all over the country!
Kristina F., Standup Comic, GOLD Comedy Community Manager
