Stacy Cay is one to watch!
Stacy Cay–who I have a crush on–graced the stages of Gold Comedy Live, and from there, I was hooked.
For my money, the marker of a comedian to watch is that they create something new. Particularly with the internet, it can be hard for comedians to stand out in standup. (Hold your applause for that sentence please.)
To be honest, most of the time I don’t even care if it’s successful as long as they’ve brought a new idea to the table. Stacy Cay actually does both in her slumber party-themed comedy show, “Spend the Night,” where there is standup comedy paired with truth or dare, spin the bottle, and giggling gossip against the set of a childhood bedroom.
Stacy Cay makes comedy about her gender transition so well that you forget it was a jarring and possibly traumatic experience. True comedian!
