WORKSHOP: Sound on set and environment management

    8:00pm-9:00pm EDT

You don’t need a soundproof booth to capture great sound pretty much anywhere. Whether you're shooting at the beach, in a moving car, or next to leaf blower guy, this workshop gives you the tools to adapt, troubleshoot, and still get crisp, clean audio. You’ll also learn how the sound department fits into the larger production puzzle—so your sound doesn’t just survive the shoot, it supports the story.

    You will learn:

    • How to capture sound in different environments (city, wind, interiors, etc.)
    • What makes for a “bad” vs. “usable” location in sound terms
    • How sound affects and reflects the story you’re telling–and where you’re telling it
    • How to work with directors, producers, and talent on sound choices
    • How environment and audio work with all other departments to tell the story
